Engineering leader with 20 years of experience building and scaling teams, products, and leadership systems across fintech, international expansion, and regulated environments.
My career has spanned startup, scale-up, and large global organisations, from founding-stage platform and team building at Clover to engineering leadership at Cash App and Block. Over that time I've grown from hands-on software engineering into broader leadership across engineering management, technical strategy, and organisational effectiveness.
I've led engineering across international market expansion, support product, payment health, bitcoin, and global product, with scope across teams of around 100 engineers within larger organisations of 500+ engineers. At Cash App, I joined when the Melbourne engineering office was still in its early stages and I helped scale it from around 10 engineers to more than 100, contributing to its culture, hiring, onboarding, and leadership development.
My work has included launching and scaling international product capabilities, strengthening customer support systems, improving engineering decision-making through architecture decision records and technical forums, and redefining reliability around customer experience rather than individual system health. I've also built leadership programs and communities for engineering managers at scale across Block.
I'm at my best in roles that combine people leadership, technical judgment, and organisational design: building strong teams, developing leaders, clarifying strategy, and helping engineering organisations scale without losing coherence.
